A great new venue and an all-star line-up are just two of the reasons to go to this year’s 94.7 Joburg Day.
On Saturday, 17th October, Riversands Farm on the R511 will rock to the sounds of 14 of the hottest local acts currently setting the 94.7 Highveld Stereo airwaves alight.
Set in open farmland on the outskirts of the city, the new venue is bigger, with ample parking and an outdoorsy feel. It’s an ideal spot to enjoy a picnic with family and friends, while listening to the best local music.
This year’s line-up caters to a broad range of tastes, with music icons like Johnny Clegg and Dr Victor sharing the stage with new sensations, A-king and Zebra and Giraffe. Fans will also be treated to funky beats from Flash Republic, Jamali and Danny K; rockers Prime Circle, Jesse Clegg and three of the latest Idols winners – Jason, Sasha Lee and Jody Williams.
The station is also putting their own talent on show with a set from the Rude Awakening’s Bongani Nxumalo as well as a performance by the winner of their Homebrew unsigned band competition.
Tickets to this year’s Joburg Day cost from R200 for adults, R70 for children under 12, and are available from Computicket.
If you are feeling lucky you can email your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org and be entered into the draw, in which you could win one of ten pairs of tickets to Joburg Day.
Entries close on Tuesday, 13th October. Winners will be notified telephonically.
