Father’s Day is all about celebrating fathers – and there can be no better way of doing so than to venture down to Gold Reef City Theme Park with your kids for a day of family fun and adventure. For this special day only, fathers who are accompanied by their children will only pay R50.00 to access the Theme Park and the attractions that lie within.

For the Father’s Day weekend Saturday, 20th and Sunday, 21st of June 2009, Joburg City Auto will host an exhibition of the hottest new cars from BMW at the Theme Park’s Town Square. Come face to face with the new BMW Z4 high-performance roadster and the new BMW X6, the world’s first Sports Activity Coupe, among other cars. These sleek, high-performance cars are sure to get any red-blooded dad’s heart pumping.

Whether you’re clinging to each other and roaring with laughter on adrenalin-pumping adventure rides like the Giant Wheel, Anaconda or Tower of Terror, marveling at the larger-than-life illusions created in the Odin 4D theatre, or simply sitting together for a quiet meal at one of the Theme Park’s many eateries, you’ll be creating memories you’ll treasure forever.

In addition, you can enjoy a range of street entertainment (like gumboot dancing), magic shows, a range of fascinating historical attractions that form part of the ‘Jozi’s Story Of Gold’ heritage offering and so much more. There’s something for every member of the family to enjoy at the Theme Park.

In addition to the entertainment, Gold Reef City Theme Park offers restaurants and fast food outlets to satisfy every taste. Your options include King Pie, Chip ‘n Dip, Anat, Ola Milky Lane, Barney’s Restaurant and Bar, Mugg & Bean, Barcello’s, and Wimpy.

Admission to the Theme Park is only R120,00 per person, including all rides, shows and exhibitions, but excluding ‘Jozi’s Story of Gold’. Children under the height of 1,2 metres only pay R70,00 each.
