Angels Walking™ is a fundraising concept where the public walk and raise money for a cause – Breast Cancer. They encourage walkers to walk in their wings, in pink, bring their babies in prams, with guide dogs – you can even bring along the men in your life to walk!

Proceeds of funds raised will go to the Breast Health Foundation and Bosom Buddies who will use the much needed funds for community education.

A great day out is planned for all. is a media partner and celebrities from Scandal will be walking and there will be a fashion show and auction with a difference – ‘Pamper Packages’ to the value of R50 000 will be going under the hammer!

Dr Nadine Harran from the Helen Joseph Hospital and Louise Turner from the Breast Health Foundation will be the guest speakers, while Dr Shirley Lipschitz, in conjunction with Vertec Scientific, will be conducting mammograms at a special rate. The ladies from Bosom Buddies will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding breast cancer.

You can visit the Healthy Living Village for massages, nail and body art, yoga, body talk, card readings, fitness, self defence demo’s, reiki and much more. All activities in the Healthy Living Village are for free. You can also purchase wings and angel t-shirts.

On arrival all walkers will receive a cause bracelet, pink ribbon, water courtesy of Clarins and a Pink Lady apple.

Date: Sunday, 1st November 2009 (Registration closes on Thursday, 29th October)
Cost: R120 adults, R60 aged 15 – 5 and under 5 no charge. Prams and guide dogs are welcome
