Beer & Jokes – The name says it all!

Come take advantage of the Tuesday pizza special at Picolinos – Small Pizzas are just R30 – and see some of SA’s finest comedians at the same time. There is no cover-charge.

The evening is hosted by Malcolm Ferreira. Most famous for the character Player 23, Malcolm’s blokish demeanour hides a fierce wit and an off-the-cuff ability second to none. This is not a comedian the hecklers will want to challenge.

The other acts include:

Al Prodgers: One of the most formidable names in SA comedy, Al represented the country in the Yuk Yuks Great Canadian laugh off. Original, highly-intelligent and very funny he’s a not to be missed act who’ll make you look twice at the things around you that you might take for granted.

Tats Nkonzo: Musical comedian Tats Nkonzo has been making waves around the country as the opening act for Nik Rabinowitz. His guitar-driven comedy takes on everything from love songs to race relations and puts him amongst the very best of the new wave in the industry.

Shaun Wewege: Life as a ginger in SA is hard. Not allowed to play outside for fear of Skin Cancer Shaun has a naturally skewed impression of SA’s myriad of outdoor activities. As a founding member of the Joburg Comedy Cartel Shaun has toured the country making people laugh from Northam to Southbroom and is sure to make you laugh here too.

Comedy starts at 20:30, but get in early to make sure you get good seats and can take advantage of the restaurant’s economically priced beers. Better yet, book a table by calling 011-467-0618. Make sure you mention that you’re coming for the comedy so they give you a table where you can see the stage.
