What Is It?
The Steam Train Wine Festival features sample food and over 40 wines from leading artisanal food and wine producers, including actual winemakers or farm managers themselves that will give you intimate tastings of your favourite wines, live music and so much more.
The itinerary includes:
The Steam train leaves at 9:00am sharp from Joburg Park Station in Braamfontein, so arrive an hour before to be safe.
The train trip takes roughly an hour and a half to arrive at the Magaliesberg Station.
The guests disembark to an artisanal food and wine festival, with actual winemakers or managers from the wine estates themselves.
At 14:30, the steam train departs back to Joburg Park Station. Visitors may continue to enjoy their treats bought at the festival, with a bar on the train.
There’s also something special for the kids, so why not bring them along?? Remember this event is limited to just 530 people so make sure you book your spot.

How Much Is It?
R425 per adult, includes: train trip, festival entrance, a free bottle of wine, tasting glass
R250 per child 13 – 17 years of age, includes: train trip and festival entrance
R150 per child below 13 years of age includes: train trip and festival entrance
R3000 per VIP compartment for groups of 6 (R500 per person) – We have only 15 compartments available. Includes 2 bottles of bubbly and snacks for the group to enjoy! (Yes you will still get your bottle of wine and your wine glass).
