I love winter – crisp mornings and sunny days, blazing log fires, delicious thick soups and tasty stews, a glass or two of red wine, hot water bottles and snug duvets – I could go on and on, but I do understand that Winter is not everyone’s favourite time of the year, so if you suffer from mid-winter blues, join in on the Cowshed’s fabulously French weekend this July.
What is it?
The Cowshed will be celebrating Bastille Day this July with a 10 course French meal, including an aperitif, tea/coffee and delicious home-made chocolate truffles. This special menu was designed by Lydenburg’s own Saucy Chef, Brian Whitehorn, in collaboration with Maryann from Events Unlimited. Sing along with well-known singer, Etienne van der Nest, also known as The Cooking Tenor.
When is it?
The festivities take place on 14 July 2012 and the day kicks off at 10.30am with a Boules competition. The feast will be served at 12.30pm.
What else do I need to know?
Guests are asked to dress comfortably French, with a touch of red, white & blue!
