The bustling Johannesburg art scene has always got something for those individuals interested in the aesthetic side of life and at the heart of this lies the Johannesburg Art Gallery. “Cemetery” is just another reason to get out there and explore the Joburg art scene.
“Cemetery” is an exhibition that is made up of two hundred and fourteen stainless steel panels listed with the last name of salient individuals, and dates of their birth and death where known. These are installed in the gallery, along with nine Ceremonial Flags of The Republic, and three tombstones that relate to Raimi as an individual while also addressing questions of artistic immortality.
