The Joburg team received some innovative and tasty recipes from readers in the Cocktail Creativity competition. After wading through all the delicious entries from our readers, Karin Opperman from Original* Iced Cocktails decided that Suzette Bone’s idea to use Original* Iced Cocktails as a marinade was the winning idea.

Her idea was not just for a recipe, but how to host the perfect party using Original* Iced Cocktails. Suzette has won a six-pack of each of the Original* Iced flavours. Enjoy!

Below is her suggestion:

My favourite flavor is the Margarita and so whilst I am sipping on  a frozen one, I take one that is still like liquid  pour it over chicken pieces and leave them to marinade for a few hours. To make the meal more tasty and colourful, you can marinade extra chicken pieces with the Strawberry Daquiri and Pina Colada flavours.

You will then have three dishes of chicken all different flavors. Just before your guests arrive, roast these in the oven. Decorate with strawberry, coriander, coconut  etc like a tropical scene, have the appropriate jugs of the iced cocktails near each plate of eats.

The different  flavors can be also be served with salads and crispy rolls or as is for a finger snack.
