Every Sunday until Saturday, 15th of December 2007
In January 2003 the Bee Gees, as we knew them, ceased to exist. Maurice Gibb, one of the three brothers, died from cardiac failure. His death gave rise to the idea of staging a musical tribute to one of the worlds most enduring popular music groups.
“Immortality” traces, through their music, the three-decade history of the Bee Gees hit sounds – from Spics and Specs in 1967 through to Immortality (the Celine Dion hit) in 2002. Sixties pop precedes seventies disco followed by eighties and nineties hits like I Surrender. All are performed in the unmistakably distinct sound of the Bee Gees themselves.
Bringing the music of the Bee Gees to life are Paul Buckby, Mark Richardson and Luciano Zuppa.
