Friday, 30 September is Desk Day 2016

Spring is officially here, so why not do a bit of spring cleaning and de-cluttering? If you have not heard, the 30th of September has been declared Desk Day.

According to, “The IDC (International Data Corporation in the US) reported, a typical employee in your organization spends 2.5 hours a day searching for information. Assuming the knowledge workers in your organization earn $80,000 a year, a 1000-person organization loses approximately $2.5 million dollars a year from the inability to locate and retrieve information.”

Enter Kate Emmerson, the Desk Diva, who has created Desk Day, which aims to educate South Africans on better productivity through de-cluttering. Desk Day also celebrates a lighter, more productive Spring season, by doing the necessary and clearing of desks.
