Those Indian Guys bring their brand of wacky comedy to The Globe
Gauteng is in for a naughty treat in January 2009, when Those Indian Guys, a zany comedy about two crazy Indians and their misadventures, take the stage at Gold Reef City Casino’s Globe Theatre from Thursday, 15th – Sunday, 18th of January 2009.
Directed by Krijay Govender and performed by comedians, Kaseran Pillay and Sans Moonsamy, Those Indian Guys is a fast-paced South African tale that combines a series of skits into a single story that is packed with action, humour and romance. It is a show filled with funny parts that make up a big funny whole, where two skilled comedians pile on ridiculous situations until the comedy reaches hilarious proportions.
Pillay and Moonsamy use a selection of costumes, an innovative set and their talent for physical comedy to transform into a number of loveably loony characters. The show covers a range of comedic styles from crazy song and dance routines through to hilarious parodies and witty sketch comedy.
The show was written and conceived by Pillay and Moonsamy, two versatile performers who have pooled up their comic talents for the first time. Pillay is a popular stand-up comedian who hosted Going Nowhere Slowly and appeared in Mr Bones 2. Moonsamy is a comic actor who was most recently seen in Guys & Dolls and Jamaican Jam.
Director, Krijay Govender, brings her own comic genius to the production. She was one of the directors of Isidingo and is now director of Rhythm City. As an actress and comedian, she has appeared in TV shows such as the Queen of Comedy.
