Infusion Catering Impresses Us Yet Again!

Last week, it was Mtunzi’s birthday and once again we called on the amazing cuisine and services ofInfusion Catering to make his special day a memorable one. Let me begin by saying that Infusion Catering has always impressed us with their delicious cuisine, extravagant layouts and fantastic service, which always made our birthday celebrations a delightful affair – but this time round, they really took everything to a whole new level and outdid themselves with the lovely spread they prepared for us in celebration of Mtunzi’s special day.

This time round, Infusion Catering spoilt us with a delicious plated, three-course, sit-down lunch in the boardroom. When Crystal sent us all the menu to take a gander at, we were completely blown away! Everything sounded so amazing, and we couldn’t wait to tuck into what they had prepared for us.

Once they had set everything up, we all headed to the boardroom eager to see how they arranged everything this time! As we entered the boardroom, we were greeted by a neatly set table with our starters awaiting us. To start off our delicious three-course lunch, we tucked into a fresh and tasty Tomato Trio, which included a shot of tomato gazpaccio topped with a homemade cheese straw which was served alongside a tomato, brie and pesto tart (absolutely divine!) and a roasted Rosa tomato, parmesan and rocket salad drizzled with a balsamic reduction. We were all impressed with the starters, and enjoyed and literally discussed every element on the plate, from the presentation to the complimenting flavours! It was also rather interesting as some of us had never tasted gazpaccio, I can definitely say that we were not disappointed!

Next up on the menu was the main event – tender and juicy Medallions of marinated beef fillet served with sage and garlic potato dauphinoise and little bundles of steamed veggies, drizzled in a red wine and rosemary jus. The beef was big, succulent and perfectly cooked, the potato dauphinoise added something different onto our plates and the steamed veggies just added that little bit of freshness. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed the mains! There was almost nothing left on our plates, other than a stray veggie or a slither of potato of dauphinoise as we all wanted to leave a little room for the sweet ending to our royal lunch time feast!

And last but not least, the dessert was an absolute treat! Everything was so beautifully decorated and presented on the plates that all we did for a few minutes was sit back and take in the beautiful dessert and all of its aesthetics (all while the sorbet melted away!). For dessert, we all indulged in a rich and decadent dark chocolate torte with wild berry coulis and a refreshing white chocolate sorbet. This was definitely the perfect ending to an amazing lunch!

The team could stop ranting and raving about the stunning three-course lunch! This is what the tem had to say:

Crystal: “I was beyond thrilled when Infusion Catering told us they would be treating us to a three-course sit-down lunch for Mtunzi’s birthday and then I read the menu and got even more excited! The mains was the highlight of the meal for me – Medallions of Marinated Beef Fillet served with sage and garlic potato dauphinoise, little bundles of steamed vegetables, drizzled in a red wine and rosemary jus. I can’t wait for our next staff birthday with this incredible company.”

Kim: “Everything was absolutely amazing! That tasty little tart from our Tomato Trion starter was a favourite in my books! The beef medallion was cooked just the way I liked it and the decadent chocolate torte was so indulgent, I just wanted more! Even though I am banting, I just had to try everything. Definitely making me miss eating like a normal human being! So worth the guilt!”

Lee-Ann: “Birthdays used to be fairly standard at the office until Infusion Catering came along and decided to blow us away each time. Not only is their food absolutely amazing, fresh and bursting with flavour every time but their friendly staff go out of their way to turn our office boardroom into a culinary palace.”

Thuli: “Infusion Catering deserves an award for turning our boardroom into a fine dining venue. On the agenda was a fabulous three course lunch to celebrate Mtunzi’s birthday and probably the most important meetings we’ve ever held in there. We gathered and got right into business. Every-time a new dish came in, we were all too impressed by the salivating presentations – the food was exquisite and my favourites were the flavorful brie & pesto tart and the succulent marinated beef fillet. If you have any special event to host, then I absolutely recommend that you contact Infusion Catering!”

Michael: “Things got off to a good start with a tasty tomato, brie and pesto tart, not the sort of starter I’d normally choose, but something I’m happy to have tried. The main course was amazing, with tender, juicy marinated beef medallions and creamy potato dauphinoise which really took my fancy. The only problem was that I filled up with mains to such a degree that I had virtually no space left for the amazing dark chocolate torte and white chocolate sorbet. Can’t wait to taste what Infusion have in store for us next time.”

Byron: “We’ve been using Infusion Catering for a while now yet they never cease to amaze me. for this last birthday party they decided to set us up a plated three course meal rather than your average buffet and the result was a nothing short of spectacular. The starter was a gazpacho soup and tomato tartlet with cheese and pesto which I’m still dreaming about a week later. For mains we had a classic fillet mignon with a fancy potato gratin which hit the spot to say the least. For desert we had a piece of chocolate brownie with vanilla sorbet and a fruit reduction which looked amazing and tasted just as good. Infusion Catering don’t only make every office celebration special but also conduct themselves with a professional and friendly attitude which goes a long way.”

Mtunzi:: “GO .. Go.. Go Mtunzi, it’s your birthday! We definitely dined like it was my birthday! Thanks to infusion catering for their awesome service. I can safely say “It was off the hook”. Even though I used knife and fork , I’m still licking my fingers.”

At the end of it all, this lunch left us all happy, satisfied and stuffed to the gills! We were SO impressed with everything Infusion Catering had put together for Mtunzi’s special birthday celebration, from the friendly service, the stunning layout and attention to detail (including fellow employees dietary requirements and allergies), to the tasty cuisine. I can confidently say that we are all extremely glad that Crystal found this amazing catering company, and that we are all looking forward to the next birthday gathering in the boardroom!
