The night is set to light up on 27 August when 5000 community activists take to the streets of Rosebank in a walk to Brighten a Life. The “Light the Night” inaugural walk will take place in aid of SHOUT for a safer South Africa, with funds raised being used to build a container library in Alexandra Township.
What is it?
The walk will start in Bath Avenue outside the Rosebank Mall in Johannesburg. Equipped with torches to light up the night, walkers will wind their way through the surrounding suburb to end in Craddock Avenue before moving onto the well-known Rosebank Rooftop for a celebration with several SHOUT Ambassadors, local opinion leaders and the community.
There are three libraries that SHOUT has financed and built through the generosity of South Africans in Limpopo Province, Mitchells Plain & Freedom Park, Soweto. The impact on the lives of the children and the community is immense and allows for improvement all round in terms of their upliftment and social cohesion.
Crawford Schools supports this project and encourages their pupils to give back to children in need. Join them and make a difference in the lives of all our children.
