This December singer-songwriter Josie Field takes her critically applauded debut album Mercury on the road around South Africa.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2006 Josie has attracted plenty of attention for her song-writing as well as for her dynamic live shows. Her appeal is also proving to be truly international – during a visit to the international music business tradeshow Popkomm in Berlin, Germany in September she showcased her talent to promoters, labels and agents from across the globe and was very well received. As a result she now has an agent for Europe and is in negotiation for a distribution deal for which should see her debut Mercury released in the UK in early 2008.
Josie is currently best known in South Africa for her hit singles ‘Every Now and Then’ and ‘10 Years’ (which reached #3 and #1 on 5FM Top 40 respectively.) The album itself has gone on to sell over 10 000 units so far.
