Jump for tickets to see the side-splitting Korean comedy at Gold Reef City’s Lyric Theatre

Tickets for the Korean live action-comedy, Jump, are selling out fast as Jozi theatregoers rush to secure their seats for the show.

Jump, which has played to sold-out venues around the world in over 3,000 performances, is a heady brew of slapstick comedy, acrobatics and chopsocky marital arts from South Korea. Imagine taking the spectacular fight scenes from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, throwing in some Matrix-style slow-motion flourishes, adding a dash of Olympic-level gymnastics and blending in Jackie Chan’s charisma and physical comedy, and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect from Jump.

The show has earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, from Asia to Europe and the Americas. Jump is a show for the whole family, packed with spectacle, humour and even a bit of audience participation. It is presented by YEGAM Inc, one of the first production companies specialising in Comic Martial Arts Performance in Asia.

Set in the interior of a traditional Korean home, the show tells the story of an unusual family that takes on two burglars that invade their home. Unluckily for the home invaders, every member of the household, from the strict grandfather and the drunken uncle to the pretty young daughter, likes nothing more than a martial arts showdown. The hyperactive comedy that unfolds is the ideal forum for this troupe to show off their extensive training in martial arts.

Jump will be running at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City Casino until Sunday, 16th of November.

Tickets priced from R196 per person. Kids under the age of 13 years accompanied by an adult qualify for a special price of only R60 per ticket.
