Its that magical time of the year when the possibility of dropping the pace of our modern lifestyle down a notch is almost within reach, and our thoughts are drawn to the appealing prospect of leisure time with family and friends. Before abandoning oneself to this pleasing state of being, there is one more task that needs to be accomplished, and that is shopping for the holidays and for Christmas presents.
The Bryanston Organic & Natural Market offers an easy and relaxed solution to this dilemma, their much loved Moonlight Markets. This is when they open the market on Tuesday evenings, add the sparkle of festive lights and trimmings and present to customers a wide array of uniquely hand crafted Christmas gifts. There is something for everyone, from Grand Dad to baby, and all the aunts, uncles and cousins in between! All of the gifts and Christmas decorations on display are made with love from natural and organic materials. A wide variety of delicious and wholesome food is also available to be enjoyed in the market or to be taken home to share with family and friends, and last minute holiday shopping for clothes, hats, sandals and natural sun protection cream can also be done.
The Moonlight Markets are open from 17h00 to 21h00 every Tuesday evening from 15 November to 20 December. As always, supper is available at all of the restaurant stalls and there will be live music in the main restaurant area. During the Christmas Markets on 06, 13 and 20 December the Alexandra Gospel Choir will perform in the market and will lead the traditional carol singing ceremony. There are also entertaining activities planned for the children, for after all, what is Christmas without the laughter and enjoyment of children?
Childrens Christmas initiative
The Bryanston Organic & Natural Market is supporting Footprints, a childrens home in the Magaliesberg which cares for 40 children from babies to 17 years of age. The home is under the patronage of Marc Osbourne, one of the stallholders, and his family. Please help them in their drive to collect unused toys and childrens clothing (and any other items you may have) to make the childrens Christmas extra special. There is a dedicated drop-off zone in the market where all children bringing their gifts, may also make their special wishes for Christmas. The children from Footprints will be in our market on Thursday 22 December, a usual market day, to enjoy some treats and to receive their gifts. Dont miss these magical markets!
