Saturday, 28th of April 2007 will see some of Southern Africa’s hottest musicians burning up the stage at the annual Ketapele Music Festival. Following the hip and happening moves of last year’s festival, the successful Ketapele Music Festival will leave the crowds grooving with its fantastic line-up which includes Hugh Masekela, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse and The Spirals Jazz Band, to name a few! So go on and pack your picnic baskets, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with a couple of good friends, family and the kids! Not to be missed!
The lovely Ladies in Jazz were unfortunately cancelled for this year’s show, as they are currently stuck in Cuba and will only be back tpwards the end of April. So the very energetic and popular live hip hop artist, HHP – who will also make a jazzy appearance in Cape Town during March – will provide some serious entertainment for those attending this must see event.
So go on and pack your picnic baskets, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with a couple of good friends and the kids. There will also be plenty of bars neatly stocked up with enough drinks and beverages to last you the whole afternoon, so don’t worry about bringing your own.
Tickets are only R100 and are available from Shoprite/Checkers Money Market Counter. Tickets will also be available at the gate for R120. The event takes place at the Northam High School grounds in Northam (Limpopo province) and the gates will open at 12h00. Security will be on hand to ensure that the event runs without any unforeseen troubles and first aid will also be available for any unexpected mishaps.
