Cycling is not only a great way to drop a few kilos before summer hits, but it is also a great way to have fun, hangout with your friends, and maybe even meet a few new people along the way.
Let’s face it, running can take its toll on your body – runner’s knees, shin splints, and aching ankles (eina … not too pleasant!) So, why not take a strain off your joints and get your heart rate up by cycling your way through some of Joburg’s cyclist friendly parks to shape up for summer!
Not sure where to go? Not a problem! You can head to the PWC Bike Park in the heart of Bryanston, they have a number trails to test your skills, from easy flowing trails for beginners, to fast and more challenging routes for more experienced riders. And, if you are looking for a spot where you can do a little bird watching and taking in the beauty of the great outdoors, be sure to visit the bike friendly Delta Park and Emmarentia Dam.
