Rosetta’s Bistro Restaurant And Kitchen

A new restaurant has opened up at Emperors Palace. You’ve got to pay Rosetta’s Bistro, Restaurant and Kitchen a visit – there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

What was once Queen of the Nile Buffet Restaurant has been transformed into Rosetta’s Bistro, Restaurant and Kitchen. The new Rosetta’s at Emperors Palace was inspired by the legacy of the ancient Rosetta Stone, a stone decree issued by an Egyptian King in Roman times to preserve culture and learnings. The theme is reflected in the Egyptian-styled décor and architecture of the restaurant.

What’s changed?

With a fresh interior, an increased seating capacity (the restaurant can hold 290 diners), a clean and contemporary finish and a modern feel, you’ve got to visit Rosetta’s for yourself! The first area is the outside section, which is the relaxed, bistro-styled part of the place. There is a deli-style display area, where you can pick up a selection of artisanal breads, paninis, cakes, ice creams, waffles and so much more. If you’re on-the-go and need a quick bite, this is where you can pick up a tasty ready-to-eat item like a yummy chicken tikka mayo sandwich or a wood-fired pizza.

If you’re in need of a pick-me-up, the bistro has introduced a brand new coffee concept called BLACKSMITH Coffee – they craft beautiful coffee blends from certified Fairtrade farms in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda, and in doing so promotes social change, job creation and skills development. Talk about coffee for a good cause!

The second area is the central space, which can be opened in four directions, meaning it’s flexible and can expand the outside area into a bigger seating space, it can be opened up completely into the main restaurant, or it can be closed off for private functions!

The third section is the main restaurant and kitchen, which includes the buffet area, banquet seating and freestanding tables. The buffet is filled to the brim with food from all around the world! There are also freshly-made dishes on offer. A fab dinner feature is ‘bottomless soda’ which is selected wines on tap!

What’s on offer?

There certainly is something for anyone and everyone at Rosetta’s, no matter your taste. From the Pan-Asian station, A Chinese Wok Station and a Kiddies Station, too – you’ll be spoiled for choice!

How much is it?

Whether it’s a quick breakfast, business lunch or family feast, Rosetta’s offers an impressive, modern dining experience that won’t break the bank. Lunch is served from 12:00-16:00 for R125 per person and dinner is served from 18:00-23:00 at R175.
