From the 11th – 14th of August 2005, the country’s top sheepdogs and handlers will be pitting their skills against each other at the national championships. The trials will be held at Border Brook farm, Driefontein, Muldersdrift under the auspices of the South African Sheepdog Association (SASDA). Thursday the 11th will see the junior championships contested, Friday will be the qualifying rounds, Saturday the semi-finals and Sunday the finals. There will also be a brace championship on Sunday afternoon where one handler works two dogs simultaneously. The trials will start at 8:00am and run until about 5:00pm each day. Catering will be available at the fields and various stalls will be selling their wares. Entrance is R20.00 for adults and children under 12 are free. The kids will love it!
