In its third year running, this music extravaganza has become a calendar, not-to-be – missed event of the year, for the daring music revelers across the musical spectrum and for those who are just yearning for something new.
The Classical Kwaai-Jazz Experience is a platform for Exciting and Borderless Music Styles Fusion, Composition re-arrangements and Eccentric artistic collaborations that would not normally be given the light of day, but whose impression will linger long after the curtains have rolled…and instead live the skeptics saying: “why didn’t I think of that?”
The event was first staged in 2005 and has since stamped its prestige as host to the likes of Sipho ‘Hostix’ Mabuse, McCoy Mrubata, Oupa Makhubela and Paul Hamner to name but a few.
This time around, the five day event features the Fifty-Piece, MIAGI orchestra, (which has in the past collaborated with the likes of Miriam Makeba and Ladysmith Black Mambazo), Don Laka and a line-up of some of South Africa’s Crème De La Crème, appearing as guests.
To whet your appetite a bit, some of the Guest Appearances would be from the
Formidable Afro Tenors, Jazz Diva: Gloria Bosman; Tsonga Crooner: Herman Fox Manganyi and the First Ladies of Kwaai-Jazz: Palesa, who have just hit the markets with their new album, entitled “Phantasy”.
This is just a snippet to show the range and quality of Musicians that will leave you screaming for encores.
Shake off your Winter blues this season with this once in a lifetime experience.
To avoid being left in the cold, join everyone as they head to Tshwane to wrap
themselves in this uniquely warm blanket of soul.
