SAB World of Beer celebrates 21st birthday

Calling all beer lovers, to celebrate with SAB World Of Beer, as they turn 21.

What is it?

It has been 21 years since former president Nelson Mandela officially opened the doors to the SAB World of Beer. The ensuing years have seen the history and culture of beer celebrated with fun interactive and educational tours; seen taste buds put to the test with beer tastings; and, more recently, provided beer-and-food pairings.

“To celebrate our birthday this year, we will be revisiting this price, charging just R10 – a 90% reduction – for a beer tour on Sunday 15 May, our actual birthday.

Tours and beer tastings will also be on special for the birthday price of just R105 a 30% reduction- ,” says Tony Rubin, general manager.

“People will also be reminded that, for all their hole-in-the-wall status, shebeens played an influential role in our cultural development, particularly in music and writing.” This is where many of our top artists honed their talents.

Help them celebrate this year!
