Saint Paddy’s Day Bush Pub Run

Surely drinking beer and running don’t go together – unless it’s at the annual Saint Paddy’s Day Bush Pub Run! This annual St Paddy’s Day event is an exciting event, offering runners (and beer lovers) an 8km night trail run with four themed pubs en route. There will be plenty of prizes up for grabs for best dressed, as well as great music and loads of food and drink available to ensure you’re in for an awesome night. There’s no better way to celebrate this great Irish tradition.

When: Friday, 17 March 2017 from 19:00

Where: PWC Cycle Park, 1A Libertas Road, Sandton.

St Patrick’s Day Street Party

Molly Malone’s in Fourways has an awesome lineup for you this St Paddy’s Day! On Friday night to get the weekend’s celebrations started, guests can expect plenty of entertainment from live bands and bag pipers to Irish Dancers and great Guinness prizes up for grabs. And on Saturday from 19:00, don’t miss out on the St Patrick’s Day Street Party that will feature some of SA’s top DJ’s including Kyle Cassim, Rocca & Martini, Miami Js, Rikay, Felix Brendel, and Jay Roberts.

When: 17 – 18 March 2017, Friday – from 15:00 and Saturday – from 19:00.

Where: Molly Malones, Pineslopes Lifestyle Centre, 14 Sunset Avenue, Fourways.

Tickets: On Friday, entrance is R50 per person before 15:00. On Saturday, tickets cost R100 at Nutickets and R120 at the door.

Green Beer For St Patrick’s Day

St Paddy’s is all about all things green, so in celebration of this Irish tradition, SAB World Of Beer will be hosting its annual beer tour, where guests will explore the brewery and sip on a green Castle Draught in the Lion Bar. Don’t worry, it’s just food colouring! Make sure you join in on the fun by wearing something green on the day. Not only will there be green beer, but there will also be some hearty Irish dishes, both savoury and sweet. Head to the Taproom for some St Paddy’s stout pie with dipping gravy and potato wedges; crispy pork belly with mashed cabbage potatoes and  Irish Ale gravy; Irish Shepherd’s pie with Irish cabbage salad; St Patrick’s chocolate brownie trifle; or Apple berry crumble with Irish whisky cream. Yum!

Saint Patrick’s Weekend At Stonehaven on Vaal

Perfect for the whole family, Stonehaven on Vaal will be going all out this St Paddy’s weekend. Friday night will bring live entertainment, competitions, and fantastic food. Saint Patrick’s Day At Murphy’s Law

Murphy’s Law in Northriding will be celebrating St Paddy’s day with Guinness beer, Irish Car Bombs, as well as some awesome Irish tunes. Not only will you enjoy this Irish tradition but you’ll also have a great time with the best company possible. To add a little more Irish-ness to the festivities, wear something green.

When: Friday, 17 March 2017 from 16:00.

Where: Murphy’s Law, corner Malibongwe Drive and Kapital Road, behind Builders Warehouse, Northriding, Randburg.

See Green At Grapes Pub & Restaurant

There will be plenty of Saint Patrick’s festivities at Grapes Pub & Restaurant in Benoni. Green drinks and Guinness will be flowing, loads of Irish spirit, and there’ll also be best fancy dressed and best couples competitions where you could win awesome prizes.
