Sanaa Africa Cultural Festival

Sanaa Africa is a three-day long African cultural festival, endorsed by the City of Joburg as the official Africa Day celebration.

The idea behind the festivities is to create an event that exposes a cross section of our vastly multicultural continent, ranging from visual art, craft, dance, song, storytelling and film among others. Sanaa Africa is an all-encompassing, one-of-a-kind event which explores our rich African heritage from a contemporary perspective. The festival pays tribute to our continent’s eclectically talented creative legacy. It’s a veritable feast for the ears, eyes and soul.

In the spirit of celebration, Africa’s most talented performers and artists will take to Moyo for a vibrant, one-of-a-kind carnival, and for three unforgettable days Africa will unite in all its rhythmic, passionate, spectacular beauty.

Venue: Zoo Lake, Johannesburg
Date: Friday, 27th of May to Sunday, 29th of May, 2011
