Contact info

Are you fearful? Are you fascinated? Come see the largest collection of reptiles and reptile related products under one roof at Emperors palace on Saturday, 31st of March and Sunday, 1st of April 2007.

Only captive-bred exotic reptiles are offered for sale. Common animals, like corn snakes and leopard geckos, are on offer, as well as exclusive and extremely valuable reptiles which have been on sale in the past. Every serious breeder is represented at this expo, including those from KwaZulu Natal, Mpumalanga and the Free State. There will even be some guests from Venom Supplies (Pty) Ltd in Australia who will be exhibiting.

Hourly draws will be taking place, as well as several competitions running on both days. Marius Burger will be announcing the winners from the SARCA competition which has been running.

SOS² has been actively involved in reptile removals throughout Gauteng, as well as presenting various talks and presentations about reptiles. The expo has a dual purpose. One is to raise money to assist with the safe removal of problem snakes in residential areas and to have anti-venom and expert assistance on standby for people who have been bitten by venomous snakes, and secondly to provide a venue for sale of captive-bred exotic reptiles for the pet trade.

You are guaranteed to see a larger variety of reptiles on display than what any snake park or zoo in South Africa has to offer.

The venue has ample parking and there are shops to provide food and beverages as well.

The Expo opens at 10h00 till 16h00 on both Saturday and Sunday. Entrance is R20 for adults and R10 for children under 12. Kids under 6 years of age come in for free.
