Timothy Freke’s SA Tour
Globally Acclaimed Stand-Up Philosopher & Best Selling Author comes to Joburg!
Internationally respected authority on world spirituality and Amazon best-selling author, Timothy Freke, will live large in Johannesburg on 16 and 17 September 2006 with his groundbreaking stand-up philosophy show to promote his new book LUCID LIVING.
Tim is an internationally respected authority on world spirituality. His books include top 10 bestseller The Jesus Mysteries, which was a UK Daily Telegraph ‘Book of the Year’, and Jesus and the Goddess, which was cited by Dan Brown as an inspiration for The Da Vinci Code. He has recently been the focus of the BBC World Service series ‘Modern Mystics’ and ‘Heart and Soul’, BBC Radio 4’s ‘Beyond Belief’ and the History Channel documentary ‘Beyond The Da Vinci Code’. Tim lectures, runs experiential seminars and presents evenings of ‘stand-up philosophy’ throughout the world.
“I am reinvigorating the ancient tradition of the philosopher as a travelling performer who wanders from place to place, waking people up from the numbness we call ‘normality’, so that they experience how mysterious and miraculous existence really is,” says Freke. “Philosophy is fun. What could be more of a thrill than having someone so totally transform your understanding of life that you find yourself experiencing a completely new reality? That’s real magic!”
