One of the country’s most sought after food and wine festivals is trekking all the way from the fairest Cape to Egoli this November, and we are beyond excited about it. The one-day festival aims to enlighten and entertain locals with some of the best gourmet food and drink around has something more than usual up its sleeve. According to Spier the idea behind the event is to educate wine lovers, vendors and connoisseurs about this ancient beverage. The Spier Secret Festival will shed light on ethical treatment of farm workers as well as the impact wine production has on the environment. There will also be guest speakers who will talk about all things food and wine. One of the speakers will be Dutch food designer De Melksalon – famed for their involvement with the sustainability and future of the Dutch milk culture.
The Spier Secret Festival will take place on Sunday 6 November 2016. Tickets are on sale for R1 900 per person via Webtickets.
