Sublime Sushi And Delicious Dim Sum At Beluga

The next time you get a craving for sushi, dim sum and cocktails all at once (it happens fairly often to me!), head straight for Beluga!

The next time you find yourself with a craving for sushi and dim sum (so, for me, that’s pretty much daily!), make a beeline for Beluga in the up-and-coming Waterfall Estate area. Trust me, you definitely won’t regret it.

Firstly, the décor is stunning – the inside section is elegant and sleek while still managing to feel laidback, while the outside is the perfect spot to sip on a cocktail during the hot summer months… it all works together really well and only enhances Beluga’s overall vibe.

What’s particularly great about this place is their daily specials – between 12:00 and 19:00, all sushi, dim sum and cocktails are half price. That’s pretty unbeatable, I must say (and yes, you did read that correctly). Now, before we go any further, let’s address something… often, when people hear the word ‘specials’, they think something along the lines of ‘oh, the food probably isn’t that great’ – am I right? Well, let’s just clarify that point right now – this definitely does not ring true at Beluga.

Right, now that we’re clear, let’s talk about the food! My favourite time to visit Beluga would have to be on a Sunday, either for a relaxed lunch or a casual early dinner. I absolutely love their spinach and cream cheese dim sum, go wild for their wasabi stack, and can hardly ever resist their salmon fashion sandwiches. I’m drooling just thinking about it.

If you’re not so keen on sushi or dim sum (although I’m not entirely sure how that could be true), don’t fret, because Beluga serves up a range of other tasty meals, including Norwegian salmon, Asian prawn and chicken curry, pesto chicken, and beef fillet – it’s safe to say that, no matter how fussy your palate, you’ll be taken care of at Beluga.

So what are you waiting for? The cocktails and excellent cuisine are calling!

  1. Went there a while back – service was bad, waiters weren’t intetested in serving us, and the tablecloth and crockery were dirty…
