What is it?
If we’re going to change the world as a nation, it’s important that we all take the initiative to understand the people around us, their background, cultures, and reasons for doing things. If we never explore new ways of thinking, we never grow and if we never grow, things will never change. This is why businessman and visionary, Mark Sham, created Suits & Sneakers, an event that emphasises on the importance of informal learning environments to educate and inspire people in independent thinking.
Suits & Sneakers is just the beginning of a snowball effect that will encourage individuals to engage in informal learning daily, be it at home, at work, or with a circle of friends. It is a “human development” concept that follows the popular TED model from the USA, and allows speakers to touch on any topic they choose from a thought leadership perspective. To can expect to gain insightful knowledge from a lineup of extraordinary speakers, including:
- Mark Sham (MC)
- Vusi Thembwekwayo
- Tony Leon
- Gilan Gork
- Dusty Rich
- Final speaker still to be announced
