Groet die Grotman
Rob Becker’s highly successful comedy, Defending the Caveman, in Afrikaans, as Groet die Grotman, will return to Sun City this August after a successful run at the resort last year!

Groet die Grotman is a humoristic exploration of the differences between men and women and how those differences cause us to misunderstand each other completely. This one-man show has played in sold-out theatres across the world for the past 14 years and holds the record for the solo show that has played on Broadway the longest. It is currently being performed in more than 20 countries, in 15 various languages, such as German, Czech and Icelandic.

Date: Until Sunday, 30th August 2009
Time: Tuesday to Saturday 20h00, Sunday 14h00
Venue: Sun City Theatre
Cost: R150 per ticket (includes light snacks, cash bar available)

Groet die Grotvrou
After playing to packed houses all over the country for a year, Defending the Cavewoman will make her debut at the Sun City Theatre in Afrikaans as Groet die Grotvrou.

Groet die Grotvrou opened in 2001 in Johannesburg and has been a huge success ever since. The play is the comical answer to Becker’s Broadway hit Defending the Caveman. Both Grotvrou and Grotman were translated and adapted into Afrikaans by Koos Kombuis.

The award winning actress Karen Wessels is Die Grotvrou. She is especially known for her television roles as Hester in Willie Esterhuize’s Hester en Ester Bester and Casper de Vries’ hit television shows Haak en Steek (as Orpa) and the Casper Rasper Show. Apart from her work on television, she is also known as one of the “big five” from the a-capella group Cutt Glas since 2005.

Prepare yourself for a comedy about two totally different human beings desperately trying to live together on one small planet… while sharing one bathroom!
