BIG Concerts recently announced that super-group LIVE will be visiting South Africa in October for their most extensive concert series yet – the Black Mountain White Light Tour. And now, BIG Concerts are thrilled to reveal that LIVE will be supported throughout the tour by one of South Africa’s most exciting bands, The Parlotones. Their unique style of music and eclectic sound, are the result of eight years of hard work – merging intelligently crafted songs with catchy melodies.
Their latest album, Radiocontrolledrobot won the award for Best Rock Album at this year’s SAMAs, with the singles ‘Here Comes a Man’ reaching the no.2 spot, and ‘Colourful’ reaching no.1 on the 5FM charts.
The quartet, Kahn Morbee (vocals, guitar), Neil Pauw (Drums), Paul Hodgson (guitar), and Glen Hodgson (bass, piano, backing vocals), have played several high-profile gigs, supported the Violent Femmes and New Model Army, and they shared the stage at this years Coca-Cola Colab Massive Mix with rock heavyweights Metallica, Collective Soul, The Rasmus and Simple Plan.
Audiences watching The Parlotones will no doubt be swept up in a whirlwind of energy and rock, which is the perfect start to the journey they are about to embark on as LIVE take the stage.
