The Fairlawns was established in January 1998, on the property once belonging to The Little Brenthurst Trust of Oppenheimer fame. The present Windsor, Empire, French ProvenÇial and African suites are built on the foundations of the old stables and cow shed. The property was once adjacent to the Ernest Ullman Park, with an historic cottage belonging to the parents -in- law of Ernest Ullman (a famous South African sculptor) being situated on the grounds. Unfortunately this section of the property has since been sold off.
A 200 sq m gymnasium equipped with international class equipment, steam rooms and locker rooms, is available for resident hotel guests free of charge. A personal Trainer is at your service if required (R200 per hour).
Adjoining the gymnasium is the Fairlawns Spa with 5 full equipped therapy rooms including a Vichy Shower room. Therapists are qualified, each with at least 5 years experience in the various forms of massage and beauty therapy.
