In October Nataniël traveled to Hong Kong to meet one of the world’s most famous porcelain masters and designers of ceramic bowls. What was intended as a week-long business trip, turned into an epic saga of intrigue, misunderstandings, deceit and a near death experience.
In The Hong Kong Kiss, his most ambitious stage production to date, Nataniël tells his story and performs his latest songs. He shares the stage with London based actor and singer, Robert Finlayson, and singers Wess-Lee, Lydia vom Hagen and Lulu Dikana. They are joined by musicians Charl du Plessis (keyboards), Juan Oosthuizen (guitar), Tonia Selley (percussion and vocals), Corné Dannhauser (bass) and Vincenzo Henrico (drums).
The script is a mixture of English and Afrikaans.
The Hong Kong Kiss opens on Friday, 9th of February in the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace, with a preview on Thursday, 8th of February. Tickets are available from the Emperors Palace Box Office. Ticket prices start at R105 and shows run from Wednesdays to Saturday at 20h30 and Sundays at 15h00.
