The New Stuff
Jozi Adventures trimmed down and concentrated all the fun into the existing 6km and 12km routes and introduced some new and exciting additions to the obstacles; with over R1 million spent on the course build for 2018. On top of the 14 man-made obstacles, various natural elements and urban obstacles on the Hollard JURA trail, you will now also have to scale 7 massive inflatables on your way to victory. Don’t worry, underneath the fancy new leggings, the JURA will still be the same “urban is the new trail” adventure we all know and love.
The event is set to be a fun day out for everyone, the 6km fun run will boast an entertaining and family-friendly combination of trails and obstacles, the 12km takes it up a notch giving you that extra dose of fun and fitness. The Hollard JURA will still have an unforgettable festival atmosphere with thousands of runners of all shapes and sizes warming up together in Marks Park, Emmarentia. There will be music pumping in the background as the crowds decked out in their running shorts, shoes, and tutu’s (oh right, did we forget to mention the prizes for fancy dress?), approach the start line. And with that, it’s on your marks, get set – go!
At the end, both races will culminate with a giant inflatable slide making for a dramatic photo finish. This year the Hollard Adventure Village at Marks Park will keep those muscles moving with the best ‘Old Skool’ and R&B music from Hot 91.9 FM, our official radio partner for 2018. You’ll be entertained from start to end by the most popular Hot 91.9 radio personalities. In addition to all this entertainment, we will also have craft food trucks and craft beer stalls at the village so make sure you don’t miss out!
Entries are R297 for the 6km, R359 for the 12km.
