The Pie Works was established in August 1994 after the founders noticed there were no kosher pies available for the Jewish community. This kosher restaurant not only serves pies but also has burgers, curries, pizza, pasta, homemade soup and homemade ice cream.
The Pie Works restaurant is under the supervision of the Johannesburg Beth Din, The Mehadrin Commission and is both non Chalav Yisrael and Chalav Yisrael.

Popped in for lunch the pies were good but very expensive. Serices were mediocre. Need attention to service.
Been going to The Pie Works since I was a child and the pies have always been excellent and the flame grilled chicken is amazing. Soup is also good! Value for money and cost is on the high side.

Not for dining if you are looking for a cheap meal. Mostly over the counter service with some tables. Don't expect much from the service or the food.
