One Man One Goat
Tuesday, 29th of January to Sunday, 24th of February 2008
Yes it’s true – that Xhosa speaking white guy is bringing his hysterical show to Joburg. Cape Town based stand-up comedian, Nik Rabinowitz, is finally bringing his sell-out comedy show One Man One Goat to Johannesburg. The Johannesburg Civic Theatre is proud to play host to one of South Africa’s most skilled and talented stand-up comedians. One Man One Goat will have Joburg audiences in stitches.
The Johannesburg season of One Man One Goat is produced by Geraldine Naidoo, more familiar to theatre audiences as the writer, director and producer of the hugely successful comedy The Chilli Boy and the multi-award winning comedy Hoot. After thoroughly enjoying Rabinowitz’s immense talent in his performance of One Man One Goat at the 2007 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, Geraldine is convinced that Joburg audiences will be flocking to the Johannesburg Civic theatre to watch this brilliant show.
One Man One Goat is rip-roaring social commentary on life in South Africa. Very little escapes Rabinowitz’s quick tongue and even less escapes his fine-tuned ear. Newsreaders, politicians, ex-politicians, survivor contestants, expatriates, street vendors, sports commentators and latecomers to the theatre are among a host of individuals and topics highlighted with hysterical consequences in One Man One Goat.
