KTV’s most anticipated event is rolling into town once again. KTV Market Day continues to gain momentum with each year and with year the excitement just gets bigger and better.
A really simple idea of teaching children about business in a fun and entertaining way has turned KTV Market Day into a phenomenal success with scores of kids that have participated over the years. KTV has over the years hosted just over 30 000 children between the ages of 6 to 16 who have participated in this fun entrepreneurship event.
And this year KTV Market Day will be held once again in six different regions nationwide, on Saturday, 6th of September 2008.

In Johannesburg KTV Market Day will be held at the Brightwater Commons, Randburg. And leading to that KTV will be hosting three craft days per region. Introduced in 2004 the Market Day craft days have been a big hit with both parents and potential market day entrants as they get to learn a new skill.

The different categories in which all the budding entrepreneurs get judged in are created to give them an understanding of what is needed to create a successful business empire. The categories include: Best Stall, Best Product, Best Sales Team or Individual, and the You/ Drum/ Huisgenoot Innovation Award. But that’s not all, for kids who love the stage; KTV Market Day hosts a Talent Show with prizes for the Best Performance and Best Group Performance.

As always there are fantastic prizes up for grabs in all the categories with consolation prizes as well as KTV believes no child should go home empty handed! This year’s national winner will take home a brand new laptop computer, scanner and printer, while the winner from each region will receive a brand new laptop computer and scanner — just the kick start that every young entrepreneur needs to set up their own home office.

Ktv has over the years helped a lot of young entrepreneurs kick start their businesses and for the past four years KTV has had a school prize, awarded to schools with the best entries. And in 2007 for the first time a teacher’s prize was created to honour those tireless educators who get their students excited about KTV Market Day and help kids in realising their potential. So, if it’s a bargain you are looking for, for magical merchandise created by over-active-imaginations with an abundance of talent, be sure to diarise the 6th of September 2008 and come and shop till you drop!
