Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Finally! Three years have passed since Naughty Dog teased us with a trailer of the next Nathan Drake story. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will have us step into familiar shoes again and explore the world of relic hunting even further… let’s just hope Naughty Dog sticks to this date unlike they did with the past two release dates.

Release Date: 11 May

The Last Guardian

For the past few years the developers of The Last Guardian have been messing with us. This game was supposed to come out on the PS3 in 2011 but never did thanks to developer bugs and system crashes. At E3 2015 Playstation released a gameplay trailer of The Last Guardian and it looks very pretty; almost as if the eight years of development had been worth it. The Last Guardians story follows that of a boy who is trying to escape from a setting resembling the ruins of a large expansive castle. The boy has been kidnapped “under mysterious circumstances” and comes to discover a giant, feathered creature, resembling a griffin, named Trico.

Release Date: 2016… we hope.

Gran Turismo Sport

This is not Gran Turismo 7 but it’s sure a mouthful of dark tarmac towards it. GT Sport will include three game modes: “Campaign”, “Sports Mode” and “Arcade Mode”. Both offline and online racing will feature in the game, and wheels have been put into motion by the FIA (International Automobile Federation) to push GT Sport as an esport platform.

Release Date: 2016… they said.

Ratchet & Clank

Movies based on games have never worked out. But what about a movie based on a game that’s based on a movie about the game it’s based on? That’s kind of what’s up with the new Ratchet & Clank game. It’s supposed to go along with the movie and the movie is supposed to go along with the game. If you’re not familiar with the R&C platform series then perhaps grabbing this release would be the best way to cut your teeth on Ratchet & Clank.

Release Date: 22 April

Umbrella Corporation

Are we done with Resident Evil now? It’s become a bit drawn out, and maybe that’s why Capcom’s gone with a game about the Umbrella Corporation. It looks sexy we must admit – survival horror always does, doesn’t it? Especially if it’s an online shooter filled with zombies and gut wrenching action around every corner.

Release Date: 21 June 2016

If you have buddies with  PS4’s and you want to convince them to stock up on the same games as you then it’s best to share this lovely piece of writing with them. Get some!
