Top Eight Outdoor Restaurants In Joburg

1. The Whippet

Head to this trendy spot in Linden for a tasty breakfast, brunch or lunch – best enjoyed while basking in the spring and summertime sun rays. Plus, you can indulge in some people watching – you never know who’ll walk past on Linden’s bustling streets.

If you’re a coffee aficionado, The Whippet will have you coming back for more! The traditional options are all on the menu, but why not opt for something a bit different, like the Double Chocolate Cold Whippeccino … picture blended rich chocolate, milk and a shot of espresso. How about that, coupled with tasty Eggs Florentine, a Baked Bean Breakfast or the Whippet Burger?

3. Espresso

The usual Espresso crowd knows how good a sunshine-filled spot on a Saturday or Sunday can be. That’s why people who go here for brunch tend to stay at their tables until the sun goes down … if you’ve yet to experience this Parkhurst gem (and even if you have), you’ve got to go.

We definitely suggest heading over for brunch and staying for dinner and maybe even a sundowner or two in-between. Hint: their prego roll, smothered in their special creamy peri-peri sauce, is the star of the show. Second best would have to be their calamari pasta, which is also covered in their famous sauce … it’s to die for! Please note that Espresso is a cash-only restaurant so make sure to stop by an ATM on the way!
