With dishes called ‘Land of Milk and Honey’ and ‘Breakfast in the Middle East’, it’s safe to say that Teta Mari has got a thick Jewish theme going on – and we love it! Find food that could easily have come out of any Jewish grandmother’s kitchen here. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Before I get started, I just need to declare my love for breakfast. I love a good egg dish, especially on the weekends, and I am a big fan of shakshouka. While I can’t make it myself (I’m no whiz in the kitchen), I find it to be a dish that few restaurants actually get right. Well, Teta Mari totally hits the nail on the head. To make it even better, add some feta to the baked classic, which they serve with a tasty roll – trust me, it’s a goodie.
They also have a menu section titled ‘Lunch in America’, where you’ll find hunger-busting options like brisket on rye and bagels stuffed with rare roast beef. If you’d rather go the healthier route, don’t fret – there are salads and soups to choose from, plus there are plenty of protein options.
The setup is perfect, no matter the weather – sit outside in the summer heat or cosy up with a steaming cup of coffee indoors in winter. If you’re on the lookout for a hearty meal made with love, add Teta Mari to your list.
