Footloose, the 80’s hit musical, will be staged by the UJ Song and Dance Company, directed by Alby Michaels. Marga Sander is the Music Director and Owan Lonzar the choreographer.
This is the story of a teenager who moves to a small town in the 80s, where dancing and rock music are banned. Together with his classmates, the teenager has to figure out a way to get around the law to have a party celebrating their high school graduation.

The show will be on from Wednesday, 10th to Saturday, 27th of September 2008, Wednesdays to Saturdays only, at 19h30.
Tickets are priced at about 50% of the average theatre ticket, with additional discounts for students and pensioners, making theatre more accessible to all. With the support of professional directors, set builders, costume makers, UJ students perform at a level which is as close to professional as any student production could possibly come.
