It's amazing how some people THRIVE under pressure. They live on nothing but coffee and cigarettes, eat only their fingernails, are the first to arrive at work and the last to leave, can multitask superbly and still have enough energy for a two-hour gym session at night. I, unfortunately, am NOT one of those people. I completely fall apart when I have not had a full ten-hours' sleep a night, and have even been known to cry when waking up in the morning because I am so exhausted. My family and friends know that if I am woken up in the middle of the night, it had better be because one of their limbs has fallen off (and even then, they run the risk of my grabbing it and beating them senseless with the wet end.) Erm yes. Let's just move on, shall we? On another note (just because I am grumpy), I phoned City Power yesterday and gave some poor man a severe talking to because the street lights in my ENTIRE suburb were left on for the whole day. PLEASE don't ask me to be responsible about using less electricity, charge me almost DOUBLE anyway, and then leave the street lights on during the day. I am decidedly annoyed about the whole matter because it's really Electricity 101, isn't it? "If money is an issue; then turn off what you don't need." My street lights would be a GREAT place to start. Just a thought. Use it; don't use it.

As you can see, I am in desperate need of a good drink and a good laugh! Thankfully I have a few ideas up my sleeve that you too might enjoy:

1. We can go wine-tasting here in Joburg! The Intercontinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers will be hosting a mouth-watering dinner and wine-tasting evening on Friday, 26th of March. SUCH a great opportunity to eat, drink and be merry!
2. My favourite comedian, Barry Hilton (the only man other than my husband that can make me laugh until I cry), will be performing his Fresh Catch show at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace for THREE SHOWS ONLY from 1 - 3 April 2010. Fans are in for a real treat!
