What Is It?
The play was written in the Apartheid era, as a form of Protest theatre, which was confrontational. It brought up the sensitive subjects of Apartheid, such as inequality. The play was written by Mbongeni Ngema, Barney Simon and Percy Mtwa. It touches on a lot of sensitive issues which need addressing.
