Aubergine Fine Food Chef is an executive chef company based in Gauteng. They offer personalized chef services in the comfort of your home or office and personalize the menu to suit individual needs. Aubergine will organize your event down to the finest detail, and also provide a consulting service for those in need of advice. They pride themselves in being the provider of the best quality food that not only tastes good but also appeals to the senses. If you would like to organize the perfect picnic, Aubergine can do up a picnic basket that will delight all your guests! Aubergine is owned and run by executive chef, Zanele Khanyile, who is a member of the South African Chefs Association. Her experience, creative eye and interest in the diverse African cultures has given way to an even more diverse cuisine and a fusion with global foods.

The company, founded in January 2005 by a highly experienced chef who has a creative eye and interest in the diverse African cultures and their even more diverse cuisine and their fusion with Global foods.

In the short time that the company has been in operation, it has grown its customer base significantly without any advertising. Aubergine Chef has relied on word of mouth, incubated by an interesting mix of mouth-watering dishes that will tempt the most discriminating taste buds, for references.

To realize these ideals, Aubergine Chef has embarked on re-establishing and investing further in the following revenue generation streams:

Aubergine executive chef is a member of the South African Chefs Association The South African Chefs Association plays an integral role in the training and continuous improvement of standards in the hospitality industry. Through the SACA Seal of Approval, recognised standards for the industry are being set. Product development is also an important service which SACA provides to the industry.

Aubergine chef employs the Green (Environmental) Procurement, strives to develop historically disadvantaged individuals (HDI / BEE) or other forms of socially responsible procurement.


The great thing is that Aubergine chef clients can choose whatever suits them and their budget. We organise the whole event down to the smallest detail. We also simply provide a consulting service for those in need of advice. Aubergine Chef is not trying to compete with big caterers or function organisers. Our aim is to offer a highly personalised service, where you get my undivided attention to ensure that your event turns out exactly as you want it.

Aubergine is owned and run by an Executive chef, Zanele Khanyile. Zanele Graduated from the University of Kwazulu Natal (KZN), obtaining a HDE Home economics. Zanele has worked as a chef at the following institutions:
