Beginning this month in Tembisa and Soweto, Castle Lite will be launching the ‘Litehouse’ campaign that aims to give ordinary people within the community their moment to shine in the spotlight. Castle Lite will give consumers the opportunity to get a head in life by making the right choices.
The Litehouse events are hosted by Castle Lite and speak directly to real people who work hard every day, striving towards a better future. The events will give them the chance to profile themselves, their talents and their businesses.
Jeanne-ette Boshoff Castle Lite Brand Manager explains, “Castle Lite’s intention with the Litehouse campaign is to provide a platform for young people and Castle Lite consumers to advertise and profile their skills and talents to a broad based audience which will ultimately help them get a head. We believe that South Africa is jam-packed with talent and Castle Litehouse is a fantastic vehicle to showcase this talent.”
The Castle Lite Litehouse events are especially different from typical talent events. Residents from Soweto and Tembisa are invited to showcase their talent, leaving the Castle Litehouse equipped with their own business cards or personal DVD presentation. Advertisement recordings take place at Mehlareng Stadium in Tembisa from 14th – 16th May 2009 and in Thokoza Park in Soweto on 21st – 23rd May 2009. Each event culminates in a Shisa ‘Nyama style event on Sunday, 17th of May in Tembisa and on Sunday, 24th of May in Soweto.
The Sunday events will be a Shisa ‘Nyama style picnic with braai packs and lots of ice cold Castle Lite for sale. This event boasts a line up of successful local bands such as Black Coffee and Christo but also includes performances from aspiring DJ identified by DJ Sbu.
These events create fantastic opportunities for the community to socialise and enjoy a showcase of the top ten skills/ talents identified during the past few days. An environment to relax, meet new people whilst listening to impressive music in a Shisa ‘Nyama style atmosphere
The Castle Litehouse will be in town from Thursday through to the Sunday and be supported by a three week media campaign. Tickets can’t be purchased in advance but can be purchased at the Sunday events or better yet won by attending one of the Castle Lite tavern promotions taking place at local taverns of Soweto and Thembisa.
