Defending the Caveman

  • Venue: Protea Hotel by Marriott Johannesburg Balalaika Sandton, Maude Street, Sandown, Sandton, Johannesburg.

Defending the Caveman is back by popular demand… yet again! Without a doubt one of the longest-running and most successful solo comedy shows in South Africa (and Broadway for that matter) is heading to the Balalaika in Sandton. Updated and relative to today’s world of tweets, selfies and six million Facebook friends, this production is still as hilarious, affectionate and insightful as ever before in explaining why men and women see the world so differently. Just a tip: parking is at The Marc!

John Vlismas – The End

  • Date: 24 April – 02 June 2019.
  • Venue: Pieter Toerien Theatre, Montecasino, Montecasino Boulevard, Fourways, Johannesburg.

This one is a unique comedy show that’ll take you down a route you’d never expect. Loss is a theme most of us don’t see as one to write a new hour of comedy about – but John isn’t most of us. The End is by far his most personal, raw, dark and deeply funny show. He’ll take audiences into the psychology of death, illustrate the lengths we will go to to pretend it won’t happen and finally take you to the site of his beloved Dad’s last breath.
