Join SPAR and w&h for a workshop that’ll get to the heart of your health

Ever wanted to improve your overall health and wellbeing? Join SPAR’S Dietician, Lauren Wilson, in exploring what’s good and what’s not when it comes to day-to-day eating. She will focus on how to prevent major health issues as well as improving overall health and wellbeing.

The workshop will also include an inspirational talk by professional life coach, speaker and writer Kate Emmerson; a registered physiotherapist from the South African Society of Physiotherapy will guide you in improving your posture to function more efficiently and, you can have your blood pressure measured by a professional from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa. There are lots of prizes to be won, and you’ll also receive a six-month subscription to w&h, compliments of SPAR.

Kate Emmerson
While coaching thousands of clients and helping them to live empowered lives, Kate’s own life went on a journey of its own as the ‘rabbits started stomping’. Her honest, humorous and down-to-earth story, entitled “When the rabbits stomp… ”, will inspire you to your own possibility of self awareness and a necessary transition that will help you cope with your roughest patches and give you the self-confidence to handle whatever life throws at you.

South African Society of Physiotherapy
The South African Society of Physiotherapy is the recognized professional body that represents physiotherapists throughout South Africa. Physiotherapists assess, treat and prevent disorders related to human movement. They assist in minimising pain in adults and children, and prevent recurring injuries and disability in the workplace, at home or during recreation.

Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa
The Heart and Stroke Foundation SA aims to create a future where South Africans adopt healthy lifestyles and the number of people who suffer or die from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease (cardiovascular disease) will be reduced. Their focus areas are education, awareness and fundraising. Visit for more information.
