Fordsburg is an area that is predominantly residential but it also has a huge range of mainly Indian restaurants and shops. If it’s authentic Indian cuisine you’re after, this is definitely the place to visit for just that. Dosa Hut is great – here, their speciality is thin, Indian-style pancakes, which are served with your choice of filling. There is also Bismillah, World of Samoosas and Taste of India, all of which are great spots to grab a bite to eat… why not try them all? Forsdburg’s Mint Road also plays host to a market on Friday nights – here, you’ll find everything from fake DVDs to sweetmeats and everything in between. You’ll even be able to pop into a barber shop, buy spices to cook with and just enjoy the bustling vibe.
