Green Tea Cocktail

Stay cool on a hot summer’s day with a refreshing glass of this light Green Tea Cocktail – it will surely beat the heat!

Makes 1

You will need

½ cup brewed green tea
½ Tbls sugar syrup (or more if you like it sweeter)
1 Tbls Blond Brandy (or rum, or vodka)
1 Tbls fresh lime juice
4 – 6 fresh mint leaves, shredded

How to make it

Stir together the green tea, sugar syrup, Blond Brandy and lime juice until well combined in a tall glass.
Add the mint leaves and ice and stir with a swizzle stick or straw.
Serve immediately.

– Preferably use loose-leaf green tea, but if you can’t get hold of any, green tea bags will also work.
– Make a skinny non-alcoholic drink by omitting the alcohol and using Xylitol to make the sugar syrup.
– Make sugar syrup by boiling 1 part water with one part sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.
– Brew a stronger batch, add more sugar and dilute with a splash of soda water for a fizzy version.
