Jeremy Clarkson’s New Car Show to Film 1st Ep in Jozi

Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are at it again. This time they are hitting the road in a very different way, and they’re coming to your door step this time…

The ex boys of Top Gear are in pre-production of their new car show for Amazon Prime called the Grand Tour. Filming for this grand car road show will start on the 17th of July. And the location? The City of Gold! On the 2nd of June 2016 Jeremy Clarkson announced via Twitter that the show’s first episode will be filmed in Johannesburg in a big fat tent. According to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos this production is “very, very, very expensive”. The show will not make use of a studio set but will be shot in a tent structure on location instead.

And this is where you come in. Amazon is giving away one of three pairs of tickets to the “tent” recording of the first episode. The Competition starts at 11:00 BST (British Summer Time) on 2nd June 2016 and closes at 23:59 BST on 8th June 2016. To enter for a chance to win, entrants should share, via Twitter, a photo or video of the most unusual place they’ve ever put up a tent, using the hashtag #TheGrandTourJoburg. The top 10 entries will be shortlisted by an Amazon Prime Video panel, and the final three winners will be selected by Clarkson, Hammond and May.

All entrants  must use the hashtag #TheGrandTourJoburg in their tweet to be considered for entry. Tweets that do not use the hashtag will not be considered. Replies that do not use the hashtag will not be considered. Read more about the giveaway at Amazon’s the Grand Tour page.
